Quatorze Variable

A geometric sans with humanist inflections, packaged as a single variable file spanning four axes: weight, italic, optical size and a monospace axis that morphs proportional letterforms into fixed-width equivalents.
About
The family moves from a relatively neutral text setting through to high-contrast display cuts with hairline connections and extremely tight spacing, then to monospaced variants that solve fixed-width constraints inventively for characters like m and r. The Mono Display subfmily adds connecting serifs, pulling the system towards an unexpected hybrid territory. Four variable axes give access to all 48 named styles within one file.
Classification
Built on clean, rational geometric shapes with humanist softening details such as a single-storey g and u-shaped y. The family extends from neutral text proportions to high-contrast display and monospaced variants within a single variable file.
