Varlope
Double B Type · Johan Debit, Tanguy Dortu

A unicase geometric sans in two weights, originally designed for upcycled textile brand Losanje, with pronounced stroke contrast drawing from 1970s geometric linéales.
About
Developed by Brand Brothers' Johan Debit and Tanguy Dortu, Varlope takes its cues from the geometric sans-serifs of the 1970s, combining a unicase structure with strong contrast across many glyphs. Two weights – Light and Regular – give the family a focused, purposeful range suited to branding and display use. The unicase approach gives it a distinct character without tipping into novelty.
Classification
A geometric sans with unicase construction and pronounced stroke contrast, drawing from the geometric linéales of the 1970s. Its even, structured forms and balanced proportions place it firmly within the geometric sans tradition.
