Joachim Müller-Lancé's punchy, slanted display face, first drawn for a San Francisco Krav Maga school.
About
Uppercut Angle grew out of pencil sketches for the training centre's identity and still has the feel of comic and sports lettering. Its brush movement is implied rather than literal, so the shapes stay simple and work at small sizes too. Version 1.3 extends it to 329 languages.
Classification
A slanted, energetic display face with imagined brush movement, closer to comic and sports-logo lettering than to calligraphy. Economical shapes hold up at small sizes as well as large.
