Betatron is a free geometric display typeface by Mark Bloom of CoType Foundry, released in November 2022. Its letterforms use only three line directions – vertical, horizontal and 45 degrees – producing angular, abstract characters that reference Wim Crouwel's New Alphabet while going further in their boldness and sharpness. Available in a single Regular weight, it suits futuristic branding, display-only editorial work and experimental design.
