A refined geometric grotesque originating as a bespoke identity typeface for the Norwegian design awards in 2013, later expanded into a full retail family with Cyrillic and Greek support.
About
Developed from the same aesthetic foundations as Colophon's Aperçu, Visuelt strips away that family's more idiosyncratic details to produce a quieter, more neutral grotesque voice. The family spans seven weights with matching italics, totalling 14 styles, with weight-specific detailing including precise thin curves at the light end and opened counters with chiselled terminals at the heavy end. An ongoing remastering extended language support to include Eastern European Latin, Cyrillic and Greek scripts alongside comprehensive OpenType features.
Classification
A refined geometric grotesque with restrained features derived from Colophon's earlier Aperçu family. The design removes Aperçu's more distinctive quirks in favour of cleaner, more neutral grotesque forms, while introducing weight-specific details such as opened counters and chiselled terminals at heavier weights.
