A geometric sans-serif originating as a single-weight MFA thesis project at Yale in 2010, expanded over subsequent years into a 14-style family spanning Light to Poster with matching obliques.
About
Conceived as the typographic voice for a graduate catalog raisonné at the Yale School of Art, the design is self-described as parodic-serious – blunt and affable in equal measure. Its acknowledged references include Kabel, Futura, Churchward's Crossbred and Avant Garde, though it wears those influences with deliberate irreverence. The family reached its current breadth of seven weights with obliques after rounds of expansion in 2012 and again in 2018–19.
Classification
Explicitly geometric sans-serif with acknowledged debts to Futura, Kabel, and Avant Garde. The circular forms and rational construction place it firmly in the geometric tradition, though idiosyncratic details give it a distinctive character.
