A graduation project of four experimental variable fonts built from letterforms distorted by reproduction processes such as printing, scanning and on-screen recording, each character drawn individually with no repeating components.
About
Produced as a Type and Media graduation project in 2022, the collection explores how medium, resolution, optical distortion and movement reshape letter contours. Each of the eleven sources was derived by deliberately submitting drawn letterforms to various technologies and then manually re-interpreting the results. Up to three alternates per letter allow interpolation, amplifying the sense of controlled unpredictability across animation and large-scale display use.
