About
SmartGrids automates the calculation of typographic grid configurations from inputs including page size, margins, font size and leading. It removes the manual measuring and trial-and-error typically required when building cap-height-aligned grids in software such as Adobe InDesign. The application reads font metrics directly from font files using the fonttools library, then outputs all valid grid configurations ready for use in layout software.
