Soft Press Pro

A rounded-corner take on the bold condensed gothic genre, reviving Aldo Novarese's Metropol design from 1967 which never progressed beyond metal type until Canada Type's 2005 digital treatment.
About
Soft Press Pro is the softer sibling of Press Gothic Pro, distinguished by its rounded corners throughout. It traces its origins to Novarese's Metropol, a Nebiolo face intended to compete with heavyweights like Impact, Compacta and Helvetica Inserat. Where Metropol fell out of circulation before the film and digital eras, this revival brings its character into a usable contemporary form.
Classification
Rounded-corner variant of Press Gothic Pro; derived from Novarese's Metropol (Nebiolo, 1967); bold condensed gothic with softened terminals
