Roma grows from Lincoln's long-standing study of the Roman inscriptional tradition, here expressed as a fully functioning contemporary sans serif family rather than a simple historical reference. The four weights come with built-in small caps and oldstyle figures, and separate shading fonts allow individual use or layering for chromatic effects. The result goes well beyond a Trajan Sans exercise into a practical multi-purpose family.
