Orpheus Pro specimen from Canada Type

A revival of Walter Tiemann's 1926-1928 Klingspor serif, notable for its classical Roman capitals paired with a lowercase reflecting the efficiency of the interwar period.

About

Orpheus was originally designed by Walter Tiemann for Klingspor between 1926 and 1928 and achieved popularity in Germany during its time on the metal market before being overlooked in the transitions to film and then digital type. Tiemann was recognised for his grasp of classical Roman capital proportions, and the typeface pairs those capitals with a lowercase that brings a more contemporary efficiency to the design. This Pro version represents the digital revival of that face.
