serifroman inscriptional
Jupiter Pro specimen from Canada Type

A typeface rooted in the inscriptional Roman alphabet carved during the height of the Roman Empire.

About

Jupiter Pro takes its forms from the chiselled Roman letterforms that appeared on stone, obelisks and walls throughout the Roman Empire, an alphabet that itself descended from Greek via Etruscan traditions. The foundry frames the design around the historical continuity of those letterforms, which have remained a reference point for type designers across two millennia. The result is a classically proportioned serif suited to contexts that call on Roman authority and permanence.
