On a mission to create the world’s biggest index of typefaces from the world’s best type foundries

Jingo specimen from Canada Type

A heavily expanded digital version of VGC's early 1960s Mardi Gras, mixing art nouveau, Tuscan, wood type and geometric elements into a single loud decorative system.

About

Jingo packs over 1000 glyphs across four character sets, with ornaments, swashes and ligatures drawn from sources that appear entirely unrelated yet read as a coherent whole. Uppercase, lowercase and unicase forms are interchangeable, giving designers considerable freedom in composition. It is suited to posters and similarly bold applications where subtlety is unwelcome.
