About
Guinevere Pro began in 2001 as hand-drawn sketches by Icelandic art director Sigurdur Armannsson, developed as a structured experiment in modular type construction. The project tested how letters built outside the module system would sit within a predominantly modular alphabet, and explored whether the totality of an alphabet imposes its own formal demands on individual letterforms. The result is a typeface shaped as much by the internal logic of its system as by the designer's own decisions.
