Alexander Quill
Canada Type · Jim Rimmer

A calligraphic display face by Jim Rimmer, originally drawn for hand-set metal type in the early 1980s and remastered with over 410 characters and built-in alternates.
About
Alexander Quill was conceived for casting into foundry type at Pie Tree Press, Rimmer's private press, and its letterforms carry the tension of traditional broad-pen calligraphy in somewhat octagonal shapes. The overall texture of a setting reads as dramatic and historically evocative. The updated digital version includes more than 410 characters, multiple alternates and support for the majority of Latin languages.
