Oigle specimen from Cake Type

A single-style reverse-contrast display face spun off from Cake Sans, with heavier horizontals that produce a raised, three-dimensional effect with Victorian and circus overtones.

About

Where Cake Sans follows conventional stroke modulation, Oigle inverts it entirely, weighting the horizontal strokes rather than the verticals. The result is a visual illusion in which letterforms appear to lift from the page, evoking wood type, Wild West handbills and big-top poster lettering. It ships as a single style with broad Latin Extended coverage including Vietnamese and Cyrillic support.

Classification

A reverse-contrast typeface in which horizontal strokes are heavier than verticals, inverting the conventional modulation. This optical trick creates a three-dimensional, raised appearance associated with Victorian wood type and circus lettering traditions.
