Designed by Pieter van Rosmalen, Cake Sans grew from a capitals-only stencil alphabet into a three-weight family spanning Light, Regular and Bold. Its condensed proportions and open letterforms allow more characters per line without sacrificing legibility, while squarish shapes with straight sides perform well on both print and screen. A handful of idiosyncratic details temper the utilitarian efficiency with subtle character.
