Designed by Matt Willey and first released in 2015 with assistance from Henrik Kubel of A2-Type, MFred comes in Regular and Heavy weights and includes alternate glyphs for twelve characters. The 2.0 revision, completed in 2021 with assistance from Diana Ovezea, represents a thorough reworking of the original. Its tight, upright proportions and all-caps construction make it well suited to editorial headlines and short display settings.
