Discovered in a used bookstore in The Hague, the uncredited source lettering channelled the tension and optimism of interwar avant-garde design. Espinoza expanded that visual vocabulary into a modular typeface with echoes of Dutch expressionism and constructivism. Its rhythmic, assertive letterforms suit poster work, logotypes and cultural projects that call for bold 20th-century European modernist expression.
