Olaf
Brutal Types · David Quay & Ramiro Espinoza · 2025

A condensed, modular display family by David Quay and Ramiro Espinoza, drawn from the three-dimensional architectural lettering on the façade of St Olaf House in London's Borough of Southwark.
About
The family comprises four styles: a standard Regular and three bevelled colour fonts — Noon, Dusk and Night — each presenting a distinct palette and shadow treatment. The runic quality of the building's original relief letterforms is carried through into a contemporary framework suited to logos, posters and signage. Western Latin coverage only, with condensed proportions giving it a strong vertical presence at display sizes.
Classification
A modular, condensed display family with architectural roots and runic influences, featuring a standard cut alongside three chromatic colour font variants with bevelled and shadowed effects.
