Lasagna specimen from Brutal Types

A heavy, modular geometric display typeface by Brazilian designer Yomar Augusto, originally released in 2008 and reissued through Brutal Types in a new edition.

About

Rooted in rational, geometric construction, Lasagna carries the tactile energy of Augusto's background in street art, printmaking and graphic experimentation. Available in a single style, it is built for large-scale applications – posters, book covers, visual identities and cultural projects where a bold typographic presence is required. The typeface covers Western Latin and was named after a meal shared with type designer Ramiro Espinoza in Rotterdam.

Classification

A heavy, modular geometric display typeface with a single style, designed for large-scale use. Its rational construction and bold presence place it firmly in the geometric display category, with no text weights or italics.
