Designed by Paula Mastrangelo, Klinker takes its forms directly from an early 20th-century tiled inscription at Obrechtstraat 177 in The Hague, preserving the solid, rhythmic character of that vernacular source. Its modular construction suits posters, record covers, signage and visual identities where structure and weight are required. The family currently offers a single style in Western Latin coverage.
Classification
Squarish, modular letterforms derived from ceramic tile signage, placing Klinker firmly in the geometric sans tradition. Its blocky, grid-driven construction and minimal stroke contrast reflect the practical geometry of early 20th-century vernacular commercial lettering.
