Bw Fusiona departs from the conventional grotesque by introducing centrifugal contrast, where strokes are thinnest at the centre of each character, creating a subtle internal tension. The system spans five widths – Tall, Tight, Narrow, Standard and Wide – each available in seven weights with matching oblique italics, totalling 70 styles. OpenType features include stylistic alternates, ligatures, tabular figures and case-sensitive forms, with coverage across extended European Latin.
Classification
A grotesque sans-serif distinguished by centrifugal contrast, where strokes thin towards the centre of characters. The underlying letterform logic remains firmly within the grotesque tradition, but the contrast treatment gives it an atypical texture.
