Boutros Sign 1
Boutros Fonts · Eva Masoura, Arlette Boutros

A bilingual Arabic-Latin signage typeface developed as a successor to Boutros Advertisers Naskh, with two weights calibrated to read equally boldly whether set positive or reversed out on dark backgrounds.
About
The two weights — Light for negative (reversed-out) type and Bold for positive type — are optically matched so that the perceived weight reads consistently regardless of background colour. The Arabic script is drawn in the Naskh tradition, paired with a Latin companion designed by Eva Masoura. The family is positioned as a direct replacement for the widely used Boutros Advertisers Naskh in professional signage applications.
Classification
A bilingual Arabic-Latin signage typeface in the Naskh tradition, designed for high legibility in environmental and signage contexts. Two weights (Positive and Negative) are calibrated to maintain consistent visual weight when reversed out.
