A single-weight didone display typeface by Fie Clarke, taking its cues from Didot with extreme stroke contrast and unconventional details where bars deliberately avoid meeting stems.

Nineteen43 works within the high-contrast didone tradition, pushing hairline strokes to their thinnest possible point against bold, abrupt vertical strokes. The design introduces its own character through serifs and bars that intentionally fall short of joining stems, giving the face an idiosyncratic quality beyond straightforward revival. Released in November 2020, it covers Latin, Greek and Cyrillic scripts across 502 glyphs.
