The source is the roller blinds mounted on the front of British buses to show the route. Applied Systems keep the height and the squeeze, and lift the x-height so it holds up large.

Classification

Tall and condensed with a high x-height for legibility at scale. MyFonts lists seven styles; the foundry page names none. Built as a display face for large-format print and headlines.
