Developed from September 2023, APK Narrative refines the rigid minimalism of earlier APK grotesques such as APK Protocol and APK Galeria, pushing letterforms with limited curves toward absolute simplicity. A defining feature of the italics is that all horizontal bar terminals are cut entirely vertically, creating an uncommon consistency across the family. The 622-glyph character set supports 112 languages and includes nine named stylistic sets, with a default minimal variant and an alternate set offering more familiar, curved forms.
