displaydisplay sans-serif
Cumbre specimen from Antipixel

A slanted display sans-serif from Antipixel comprising three stylistic cuts – Sharp, Round and Stamp – built around unconventional letterform anatomy and strong oblique rhythm.

About

Cumbre's three subfamilies share a dynamic, ribbon-like construction that gives the type a restless, kinetic quality unusual among display sans-serifs. Contextual alternates, two stylistic sets and discretionary ligatures extend the expressive range. The glyph set of 829 characters covers a broad range of Latin-based languages including Vietnamese.

Classification

A slanted display sans-serif with three distinct stylistic subfamilies – Sharp, Round and Stamp – characterised by unconventional anatomy, ribbon-like strokes and strong oblique movement, placing it firmly in the display category rather than a conventional grotesque or geometric.
