Austral Sans offers a casual, spirited character through irregular stems that produce an eroded, hand-crafted appearance. Beyond the six standard weights, five textural subfamilies — Rough, Blur, Stamp, Rust and Maplines — are each available in Thin, Light and Medium, enabling complex layered compositions. The glyph set of 825 characters covers extensive Latin-based multilingual support alongside OpenType features including contextual alternates, discretionary ligatures and case-sensitive forms.
