ANFCo Jessop

A heavy block-letter display face derived from the hand-drawn logo of the Jessop Steel Company, offered in a standard slab cut and a Spurred variant with thick triangular serifs.
About
Jessop tightens up the rough, hand-made quality of a mid-century industrial logo into a usable digital typeface, retaining the unconventional slab serifs, chamfered corners and the short middle arm on the E. The Spurred variant layers on thick triangular spurs that shift the feel from East Coast steel mill to Western wanted poster. Both cuts suit heavy-weight display applications: signage, record sleeves, apparel graphics.
Classification
A heavy display block letter with unconventional slab serifs and chamfered corners, drawing on industrial signage and wood type traditions. The Spurred variant adds thick triangular serifs that push it toward Western woodblock poster territory.
