A bilingual Hebrew-Latin calligraphic script drawn with a Japanese felt-tip pen, featuring 640 glyphs including multiple base variants, end letters, swashes and ligatures.
About
Designed by Shavit Yaacov and Anna Khorash and first released in 2017, Shluk takes its forms from nostalgic brush lettering and packs them into an OpenType-rich package. Version 2.0 extended full Latin support to over 220 languages, while the Hebrew side offers contextual alternates, stylistic sets and an extensive ligature library totalling 640 glyphs. Its expressive, high-energy character makes it well suited to logotypes and display headlines in either script.
Classification
Drawn with a Japanese felt-tip calligraphy pen, Shluk is a bilingual calligraphic script typeface covering Hebrew and Latin. Its brush-stroke letterforms, extensive ligature set and swash variants place it firmly in the calligraphic script category.
