displayDisplay serifitalic
Aidé specimen from About Type

A single-weight display serif by Fer Cozzi, built from the contrast between soft spherical forms and ultra-thin spiked serifs inspired by the silhouette of a hedgehog.

About

Aidé offers Thin and Thin Italic cuts only, designed exclusively for large-scale headline use where its fractured stem joins and elongated needle-like serifs can register fully. The tension between rounded letterform bodies and sharp spines produces a texture that reads as simultaneously fragile and forceful. Cyrillic support was developed in consultation with Krista Radoeva, with stylistic sets for Bulgarian and Serbian Cyrillic variants.

Classification

A display serif with ultra-thin, elongated spikes and fractured joins at vertical stems, built from the tension between circular forms and needle-like serifs. Its extreme delicacy and purely headline-focused design place it firmly in the display category rather than any workhorse serif tradition.
