A slab serif revival drawn from a Nebiolo typewriter specimen of around 1920, retaining the Pica monospace structure with subtle Imperial-style stroke contrast across four styles covering Latin and Cyrillic.
About
Matthieu Cortat traced the source back to a model 3402U typewriter font in the Nebiolo Campionario caratteri e fregi tipografici, preserving the fixed-pitch slab form while avoiding any overly digital or constructed appearance. The italic is a true italic rather than a slanted roman. The family covers Latin and Cyrillic, with localised alternates for Romanian, Moldovan, Serbian, Macedonian and Bulgarian.
Classification
Derived from a monospace Pica typewriter slab found in a 1920 Nebiolo specimen book, Yorick retains the fixed-width slab serif structure with modest thick-thin stroke contrast inherited from the Imperial style, placing it firmly in the typewriter slab tradition.
